Do I need my GP to refer?

You do not require your GP to refer you to Community Physio.  You, or a family member are able to refer direct to Community Physio.

It may be appropriate for your Physiotherapist to contact your GP after your initial assessment or during treatment.


Do you visit Residential and Nursing homes?

Community Physio visits you in your own home. This includes Residential and Nursing homes.


Does Community Physio provide equipment?

Community Physio may recommend a piece of equipment or a walking aid. Community Physio will not sell the equipment to you but can recommend local retailers or national specialist companies.


What happens when treatment is complete?

At the end of treatment, Lucy can complete a report for you with any further recommendations and if you give permission a copy can also be sent to your GP.


What about confidentiality?

Community Physio adheres to the Code of Professional Values and Behaviour of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy which includes confidentiality.


What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel an appointment Community Physio would appreciate as much notice as possible.  Cancellations on the day may incur a small charge.
